Asking for a £1million!

My brain was exploring EASY ways to create £1million by 2 July 2011 whilst I was getting on with answering my emails. It carried on whilst I was cleaning the kitchen and potting up some plants.

...and then it pops out with the easiest answer whilst Im on the phone to a millionaire later that afternoon.

"Well," I said to Peter*, the answer to my enquiry suddenly blindingly obvious to me, "The easiest way to attract £1million would be to ask someone for £1million"

"Thats great," he said , relatively calmly I thought, " But how would you repay them Marie-Claire?"

"Oh!" I said, " I wasnt thinking of a loan. I was thinking of someone giving me the gift of £1million."

It was out of my mouth before Id fully realised what I was saying and it felt great. I waited for Peter to protest at such a crazy thought...and he didnt. Maybe it wasnt such a crazy thought after all....

....and of course , I could then create £1million if I wanted to on the back of sales of the book!

From rags to riches, doing what you love

Its Easter Saturday and Ive been feeling the effects of one too many summer parties over the last few days. Its amazing how your mood and general level of optimism dips when youre not in full physical shape. Clearly the secret to being a Money Magnet is to look after and value ourselves and I can tell you that this morning the figure of £1million in 3 months was looking very daunting indeed!

So what did I do to lift my spirits? Well , I did the household jobs that needed doing before a friend arrives this evening. I then lay down and had a 30 minute meditation.
Then I received a phonecall saying that my friend was delayed. Wonderful synchronicity as this meant that I could dedicate myself to clearing my in tray ( remember , if in doubt when creating money ALWAYS keep clearing your clutter!) and getting my accounts up to date (for peace of mind if nothing else!)

I went about these tasks in a committed relaxed fashion , ignoring the temptation to surrender to my threatening negative thoughts. And of course as I took action, I felt much better

...and then I received the phone call that was to put me back on track, "quite by chance!" It was my good friend John who Id missed seeing this week and it was lovely to ignore my accounts for a while and enjoy a friendly indulgent chat with him. Towards the end of the phone call John then shared a lovely true story which lifted my mood considerably and reminded me that it is possibly to become a millionaire doing what you love!

He told me of a friend of a friend , lets call him Mark, who hadnt really done much since University. He earned a living from doing the odd bits of translation work and managed to just about get by on a fairly meagre living. Then he was asked to translate a particuliar novel. He was given the option of being paid OR receiving royalties from sales of the book. Intuitively he chose the royalty option. Sales of the book went crazy worldwide , and almost overnight Mark went from being skint to having over £900,000 in his bank account. He is now a millionaire! Whoopee!!

Richard Branson and I on stage 2 July!

They say that everything starts with a dream.

One of my dreams is to not only meet Richard Branson and Anthony Robbins when they come to Londontown on 2 July but to share the stage with them!

This morning I received an email from one of my clients.
He had called up the event organisers to book his ticket and explained that he had heard about the event from his coach , Marie-Claire Carlyle , author of "How to become a Money Magnet!"

and do you know what they said?

" Oh , if only we'd known about her beforehand ! We could have done with a female speaker in the line up!!"

So watch this space!

Open yourself up to receive

I was chatting on the phone with my friend Rose today. As we were talking another call came through on my phone from my investment partner Gaynor. It prompted me to ask a question of Rose....


"Do you have a pension?" I asked.

Rose immediately responded " Marie-Claire , Im not interested in pensions! They're not worth the paper they're written on. Don't do it!" she declared forcefully and continued ranting for a short while about what she thought of pensions.

Finally I was able to respond, " Rose, I was just asking you if you had a pension." It was a simple question. At this point there was no actual indication of why I was asking the question. Rose had made up her own reason of why I was asking if she had a pension. She had ASSUMED that I was about to sell her a pension plan , or at the very least , persuade her to invest more in her pension and she was effectively saying "NO!" before I could say anything else!

She was saying "No!" to an opportunity without even realising it!

How many of us are so convinced that we are right about something that we can not hear anothers point of view?

When I pointed out to Rose what she had done , she LISTENED attentively to what I had to share. And as she opened up and became receptive, she found an opportunity to triple her income without having to work a day extra!!

Rose had just exercised her Money Magnet Muscle!

Rose could now say "yes,I am now a Money Magnet!"

The magic of millions

Hey, Ive realised that I am in the middle of real magic occurring! Since declaring my intention to create £1million in three months, there has been a radical shift in how I feel about myself and the opportunities that I am attracting.

I realise that in committing to receive £1million , I am declaring that I am WORTHY of becoming a millionaire. I have started being someone who recognises their full value. Most importantly I have stopped TRYING to be better. I have stopped striving and pushing ....and in relaxing and trusting myself and my decisions, the wealth is coming to me , easily!

This week I attended a property network meeting. Normally I go looking for opportunities but this time I was relaxed and purely interested in meeting interesting people. It was a gorgeous evening and the opportunities dropped into my lap one by one! Now normally I can find one or two reasons not to progress with things like this ( I need to do more due diligence for example or "Im not sure if I can trust this person fully") This time however I kept my heart and ears open and by the end of the evening I had received a plan to be financially free in less than a year and a seperate opportunity for my money to triple within 10 years!

Now if you are reading this and your mind has already starting thinking of reasons why such opportunities could be dodgy, then be aware of how you may be blocking the wealth coming your way.

Of course I didnt sign up there and then on the night for anything. I trusted myself to make the right decisions with the information and contacts that I had received and within 24 hours I was finalising a very lucrative deal AND potentially earning myself some more by sharing what I had learnt with 2 friends!

My lesson was that sometimes
"Indecision can be the most costly decision you can make"

Based on Chinese Feng Shui this phenomenon is called "Money Bags," so, according to custom you should forward this to your friends and money will arrive within 4 days!

It also says "he who who does not forward will be without money."

Now normally I never forward messages like this because I dont believe in conditional giving ie you must give or else!

But in this case, it was such a wonderful coincidence that I couldnt help sharing it with as many people as possible via this blog.

You are already a millionaire

So I called my friend Yvonne. Let me introduce Yvonne . You're gonna love her! I first came across Yvonne a few years back She was at a Mind Body and Spirit Fair and she was giving a talk. Before she d finished, I left the room , ran down to her stand and made sure that I got to see her that day . Yvonne had spent years training with Jack Temple , a master in vibrational medecine. I used to be a heavy smoker years earlier. Yvonne picked up on this , intuitively, and "cleared" my body of the residue effect of nicotine. I invited her to come and meet my parents. This was the first time that I'd ever introduced alternative therapy to my parents but there was an unbelievable certainty to my request that day. About a week later , Yvonne arrived at my parents home and got chatting with my Mum. Her biggest complaint at the time was the skin complaint Rosacea. Yvonne started to dowse*. I thought of grains of sand ...impossible . I learnt from Yvonne that a million bees looks like ten hives. Easy peasy!) Like me, Yvonne know that to BE a millionaire , you have to be a millionaire . And she shared with me that each of us has at least a million cells in us . We are already millionaires! You are a millionaire. Take a deep breath and allow it in . You are already a millonaire! You already have a million as part of you. In fact, if you want to expand a little more , accept that you have billions of cells with you . You are a billionaire ! Whooppee!! Its time to celebrate ! The only thing that's been stopping you so far is that you've been looking in the wrong direction. You havent been COMMITTED TO BECOMING A MILLIONAIRE OR BILLIONAIRE! Congratulations for finding this blog. You are now ready to accept that YOU ARE A BILLIONAIRE !!! I love you . Isn't life just absolutely gorgeous?

How it all started

My publishers were very patiently awaiting the title and outline of my next book. They wanted something about money, along the same lines as my first book "How to become a Money Magnet!" The trouble was that I just didn't feel inspired. It felt like it was a job to do rather than a book that could inspire millions. I got to thinking how life had been since I wrote the first book...

Ironically Id written the first book so that I could spread the knowledge that I had to lots of people without having to do monthly workshops ...and Im back doing monthly workshops, because of course they work! There was only one pretty obvious problem . I was helping everyone else to make money but I was not necessarily following my own advice! It was crazy! I was speaking at Millionaire Bootcamps and I had created £millions for companies and charities but I was no longer doing it for myself . I started to think that actually I wasn't all that interested in money. I was interested in helping other people feel good about themselves. I loved it when my clients achieved huge personal and financial success.

My personal drive to earn money I realise now had been in order to feel loved. I'd always believed that when I could show that I was successful, then people would love me. I achieved incredible success and I remember well my 40th birthday. I held a last minute party in my London penthouse, overlooking the Thames. We had waitresses serving top quality champagne and at midnight my good friend Joy stood up to toast all that I had achieved...and I felt empty inside. Despite all these gorgeous people around me , who I now realise loved me to bits, inside I was still convinced that I was unlovable. You see, the more money that I earned , the more that I reinforced the reason why I needed to earn the money and that was to overcome the deep seated belief that I was unlovable. I realise now that however much I earned it would never be enough. What I needed to "get" was that I am and always was totally lovable.

Of course, it took me another few years before I realised this truth. My 40th Birthday was definitely a turning point . Soon after that I left my highly paid job and proceeded to go on a downward spiral, spending my money as fast as I could. It was as though once I realised that having money didn't make me lovable, I set out to prove that having no money would make me lovable. People would feel sorry for me . They'd have to love me . Of course none of this was conscious behaviour. As far as I was concerned I left work because I was bored and I wanted to travel. I then chose to work for myself so that I wouldn't have to answer to anyone else. I knew how to earn money so I shared my knowledge with others. But it didnt matter how successful I became , as long as I remained convinced that I was unlovable and not worthy enough to be valued, my earnings remained at a pathetically low level.

Now of course I accept my value. I see it in the people around me. I realise that I am adoringly lovable and always have been, and that the only person that wasn't loving me was me. I realise that I add huge value to others through my book, my workshops and my coaching. I witness powerful transformations in my audiences when on stage as a speaker. I really "get" that I can make a massive difference to others. It is time to follow my own advice and to become a powerful and unstoppable Money Magnet.

Of course I am already a Money Magnet. I know how to attract money. It's just that I haven't actually been that interested in attracting lots of it. I associate having lots of money, with being single and alone in my luxury penthouse. At least when I had less money , I was surrounded by loving supportive friends....at least that was how Id been thinking. The attraction of being seriously wealthy had faded.

During my workshops and in my book, "How to become a Money Magnet" I invite people to examine the benefits of having less money. There are lots of them ...less tax, less responsibility,less fear of failure or theft or unscrupulous friends. We look at the downside of being wealthy...for me, it included feeling lonely, and unfulfilled. Having less money lead to being more creative , and it encouraged me to receive help ( and love) from friends and family. Having less money coincided with the experience of my heart opening up to receive.

I remember asking a friend if she would give me £50,000. I had to become more vulnerable than I'd ever been in my life and it wasn't easy. But when she said "yes", I felt overwhelmed by the extent of her love for me. It was beautiful. And when my book was first published I was so moved by all the people who attended my book launch party. The fact that I was now a published author was insignificant to the fact that I now felt loved. Totally loved.

Of course, I now realise that love doesn't come from outside of ourselves. It is created within us. We are love. We are born of love and we die in love. What I was searching for all my life was there along, inside of me .

I remember when I finally "got" this truth. I had been to see Joseph McClelland, courtesy of my good friend Dawn . Joseph had shared with us the exercise of using a rebounder each day to reinforce your affirmations and dreams. So, in the morning, I would bounce for 5 minutes whilst focussing on a description of my dream man . He would be tall, funny, easy to talk to , supportive and generous. Then one day as I was bouncing, I had the sudden realisation that the person that I was describing was me. I was tall, funny, easy to talk to , supportive and generous! The love I was looking for all along was right there inside of me . It was a real "wow!" moment. This moment meant that I could now let go of trying to prove myself. I could let go of my drive to be loved. I could relax , smile and be happy. I was in love.

That weekend I went to stay with my childhood sweetheart who I hadn't seen for 30 years. We spent hours walking along the beach. I didn't use my phone or check the internet once. I was relaxed, happy and in love. The neediness had vanished. I was happy being me. I was loved.

It felt like the end of the story. "What was next for me?" I wondered. My first royalty payment arrived. It was clear that people were enjoying my book. It was making a difference. My workshops continued and participants let go of their limiting beliefs around money. They were transformed. The only thing was that I remained fairly disinterested in earning money myself. I had only ever been interested in money in order to be loved. Now that I knew that I was loved, there was no incentive to earn money. At least, that was where my thinking was until I realised that my fans expected me to be extremely wealthy.

They wanted me to lead the luxury lifestyle. They wanted me to earn millions as their role model. After all, it didnt feel very authentic to be teaching people how to attract more money , no matter how good I was at it , if I wasn't doing the same for myself. So that's how I have reached this point.

Two days ago, I was walking down a London street, having just done an interview for the Billionaire Ladies Club TV Channel.... and I decided to create £1million. Within 5 minutes I got talking to a reader of my book who asked me how he could be like a millionaire in order to become a millionaire. The synchronicity was kicking in already! It was a great question!

I asked him how he would "be" if he had a £1million in the bank. His answer was full of materialistic choices and the desire to not do anything. This didnt make sense. It reminded me of the story of the fisherman....The fisherman took his boat out everyday to catch fish. He lived a simple and happy life. Then one day an American businessman arrived in the area and got talking to the fisherman. "Listen" he said" Why don't you invest in a few more boats? Then you can catch more fish and earn much more money!" The fisherman looked intrigued. "Tell me more." he asked. "Well," said the businessman, "if you continue to buy more boats with the proceeds, you can then export the quantity of fish caught worldwide. You could build a huge successful empire and earn vast amounts of money!" "And then what would I do?" asked the fisherman. "Well, then you could do anything you wanted with your life" replied the businessman , feeling proud of himself. "What would you want to do with your days then? " he asked the fisherman. "That's easy!" replied the fisherman, "I would take out my simple boat and go fishing each day".

If the incentive for you to become a millionaire is to be able to do nothing, then the subconscious mind will take a short cut and you'll just settle for doing nothing. Its not a big enough driver to earn money . It certainly wasn't as strong as my original reason which was to be loved!

"No, to become a millionaire you need a much bigger incentive", I thought. Half an hour later I bumped into my good friend Dian. She asked me my latest news. "What was my latest project? What was I working on now?" and I had to confess that I was meant to be working on another book but I just didn't feel inspired. It felt like hard work. And then a strange thing happened. I turned to Dian and declared that I was going to create £1million in three months! And in that moment, I felt inspired!

At this point, it's worth explaining the power of declarations. The success of the Money Magnet workshops relies on each participant making a powerful declaration to witnesses. Just as when we say "I do" in our wedding vows, where it is witnessed by others, there is a tangible shift in the way we are being about the situation. Think back to when you got married or when you declared an oath of some kind. Can you remember how "things" shifted for you immediately afterwards?The world looked different. Of course, its very subtle but there is a noticeable shift that happens.

Most people honour their word. If I say I'm going to do something, I then expect to do it. If you say you're going to ring a friend, you then ring that friend. If you say you're going to have lunch , you then choose to have lunch. If you say you're going to see a film , you then go to see the film. Normally. After all, you wouldn't declare you're going to do something if you had no intention of doing it! Now sometimes we change our minds of course. BUT THE ODDS ARE THAT IF YOU'VE DECLARED IT TO SOMEONE ELSE, YOU'RE LESS LIKELY TO CHANGE YOUR MIND and THE OTHER PERSON IS NOW THINKING OF YOU COMPLETING THE ACTION, whether its ringing a friend, having lunch or going to see a film.

So when I declared that I was going to attract £1million in 3 months to Dian, it stopped being wishful thinking , an as yet unexpressed concept in my head, and it became more of a reality. Of course, at this point I'd only actually mentioned it to Dian. "That's only one person that I'd be letting down if I didn't honour my word." I thought. "Actually , no, it would be two people. I'd be letting myself down too." I realised.

Later than evening I met up with Tony. He was an internet date. It was the first time that we had met and I liked Tony. He was my type of man. I told Tony of my INTENTION to cause £1million in 3 months and he believed me. I believed me. It was becoming real.

The next morning I woke up at 5am. I only had one thought on my mind. "£1mllion in 3 months " I jumped out of bed and grabbed a sheet of paper. I started writing out different ways of creating £1million : £10 x 100,000, £100 x 10,000, £10,ooo x 100, 50 x £200,000, £20 x 500,000 etcetc They were only numbers. I wanted to find a way to see a million, to make it as real as possible! This was fun and I could feel the excitement of my creativity kicking in. I can't find the piece of paper now but I can still remember the excitement of an outlandish idea becoming more and more possible by the minute.

That day I went on to deliver the one day Money Magnet workshop in London. I'd already decided that I was going to share with the group my intention to "create" £1million by the 2 July 2011. I wanted to use it as a creativity exercise for them . I wanted to see if they had any ideas.

They volunteered the ideas of playing the lottery and investing in property. It would have been easy to dismiss these as the "normal " "run of the mill" ideas that people come up with when they don't REALLy believe that they can generate £1million.. However, I was now in a mega alert state and committed to receiving any and all inspiration that came my way. I was now wide open to receiving £1million and I was not going to close down any avenues just yet!

Funnily enough , the next day , back in Chester , as I was buying some milk at my local corner shop and the lady asked me "and anything else?" I found myself saying "yes, Ill have a lottery ticket please!" I bought a lottery ticket and paid an extra £1 so that I was playing each day til Friday. On Friday I would buy a ticket to win 1million euros and I resolved right then to go online and make sure I had a lottery ticket each day for the next 90 days. After all, I reckoned, "you cant win it if youre not in it!" And at least the money tended to go towards worthy causes so I could count it as part of my financial contribution to society. As for property, I was already a student of Tigrent* and learning the "ins and outs" of making money through property and I resolved to get my accounts in order that weekend as requested by my mentor.

Back to the Money Magnet workshop...one girl told me that she was a designer and she had the idea that would generate £1mllion. But first of all , she wanted to agree her percentage of 10% . I had taught her well! She was appreciating her value. We agreed and shook on it . Then she shared her simple idea. "Create a Money Magnet app, Marie-Claire" That was it. I was disappointed. I'd already created a couple of apps , albeit not about Money, and they hadn't earnt a lot of money. My publisher would have to be involved in an app that called itself "Money Magnet" and so, even assuming I came up with a "killer" app, I was now looking at delays and negligeable profit, as more and more people would need to be involved. I dismissed the idea ...although as I write this up the very next day I am reminded not to dismiss any idea outright. maybe THERE IS SOMETHING IN THE IDEA OF A MONEY MINDSET APP! I decide not to dismss the idea just yet.

On the train home from the workshop, I get talking with the lady opposite me and I share with her my intention to find £1million in 3 months. It is becoming more and more real as I share the idea with others. You know, the biggest thing that I got from sharing my intention with the particpants on the workshop that day had been the total certainty that they had in me of achieving the goal. There was no doubt . It was my certainty being reflected back to me. Other people are one of the best guages in how well we are aligned to something. I concluded that I was now fully aligned energetically to achieving £1million by 2 July 2011.

I sat back , relaxed and read through the feedback slips of paper from the participants. One of them catches my eye....On it was written , "I wish could capture the positivity of the day and bottle it up so I could drink of it daily". When I got to the end of the slips of paper , I slipped on my Ipod earplugs and went into 30minutes of meditation. On "awaking" the lady opposite me asked " So have you come up with the idea then? ", she asked. Calmly I replied, "Yes" I said, " at least, I have one new idea already! I'm going to create a vibrational essence that people can take whenever they wish to attract more money! It'll be called the "Money Magnet Essence" and I realised right then that I knew the very person who could create it for me .

Now please excuse me a second while I give her a call. If the power of Intention is important , you can never underestimate the power of taking immediate INSPIRED ACTON!
